On August 6, 2007, the feast of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, Saint Francis Special School for the mentally challenged (मानसिक मंदता) and Cerebral Palsy (मस्तिष्क पक्षाघात) children was opened with a prayer that all the children with special needs who receive education and therapy at the Centre would be transformed to lead a better-quality life. We started the school with six students. Today we have seventy-one regular students on our rolls. For lack of space, we are unable to admit any more students. But we do provide therapy and other rehabilitation services to children.
